| Beschreibung: | In this thesis, I present three papers in different areas of industrial organization. First, we study a vertical markets in presence of shopping costs. We show that countervailing power leads to higher prices and lower welfare as well as consumer surplus. In the second part of this dissertation, we look at the competitive effect of a partial ownership when it serves as an information learning tool in a takeover game with uncertain synergies ex-ante. Finally, we look at the impact of the presence of multihomers and singlehomers on the platform profits under uniform and discriminatory pricing. regimes. | |||||||
