| Beschreibungen: | Hintergrund: Wortfindungsstörungen sind ein Frühsymptom der Alzheimer-Demenz. Die systematische Untersuchung von Wortfindungsstörungen könnte genutzt werden, um eine sinnvolle Ergänzung der neuropsychologischen Testuntersuchungen in den frühen Stadien einer Demenzerkrankung darzustellen.
Fragestellung: Ist ein Test auf Wortfindungsstörungen geeignet eine dementielle Entwicklung im Frühstadium zu erfassen? Material und Methode: Entwicklung eines Instruments, das mit 50 Fragen nach Substantiven unterschiedlicher Häufigkeit in der deutschen Sprache eine quantitative Erfassung von Wortfindungsstörungen ermöglicht. Ergebnisse: Kontrollpersonen erzielten einen signifikant höheren Punktwert als die Patientengruppe. Bei einem Cut-off–Wert von 84 Punkten für die Abgrenzung des Kontrollkollektivs gegenüber dem Kollektiv der Patienten mit einer Demenz vom Alzheimer-Typ wurde eine Sensitivität von 95 und eine Spezifität von 92 festgestellt. Diskussion: Der „WoFi“ ist ein zeit-ökonomisches, leicht durchführbares, prinzipiell auch telemedizinisch durchführbares, Instrument zur Erfassung von Wortfindungsstörungen.Background: One of the first symptoms of Alz-heimer’s disease are word retrieval deficits. A sys-tematic evaluation of word retrieval deficits can be a important forecast value for developing a Alz-heimer’s disease. Objectives: Is a test for finding word retrieval defi-cits able to detect a developing dementia? Materials and methods: A word retrieval test, called the “wofi” was developed. It is a is an in-strument, which is testing for word retrieval deficits within 50 questions. A maximum of 100 points can be scored. Results: The subject group scored significant more points as the group of the tested patients. A taken cut-off-score of 84 points for discriminating the subject group from the patient group with dementia showed a sensitivity of 95 and a specifity of 92 percent. Conclusions: The “wofi” is able to test for word retrieval deficits. It can be done in a short time, is easy to learn and it is also possible to use it by telehealth. | |||||||
